Safe Living
Awareness and access to help.
Safe Living is a starting solution for awareness, assistance, and dependable local alerts. It runs on the Hanan Foundation, the local hub and management server included in every new Hanan installation.

Is Safe Living for you?
For households that value peace of mind.
Safe Living suits families, households with older members, and anyone who wants clearer awareness of their home and an easier way to reach help, supported responsibly alongside the professional services they already rely on.
Everyday awareness
- Knowing whether doors were left open or closed
- A simple way to call for help from within the home
- Awareness of the home's normal daily rhythm
- Reassurance overnight and while away
Emergency assistance
A simpler way to raise the alarm.
A clearly placed control can raise a local alert and notify the people you choose. It is designed to improve access to help within the home. It complements, and never replaces, professional emergency services.
Awareness and alerts
What Safe Living can do.
An experience is a useful thing your space does, not an individual device. These examples show possible awareness and assistance directions for a Safe Living design.

Door awarenessKnow the state of your entrances without checking each one.
You can see whether key doors are open or closed, and be alerted if one is left open longer than expected.
Emergency assistanceA simpler way to call for help from within the home.
A clearly placed control can raise a local alert and notify the people you choose.
This improves access to assistance; it is not an emergency-response service and does not contact authorities on your behalf.
Local audible alertsAlerts you can hear in the home, even when the internet is down.
Selected events sound a clear local alert inside the house so no one has to be watching a screen.
Local alerts depend on power, device condition, and sensor placement determined during the site survey.
Activity awarenessGentle awareness of whether the home's normal rhythm is holding.
You can check whether expected activity has happened during the day, without cameras watching every room.
Night awarenessReassurance and safe passage through the house after dark.
Low light guides late-night movement, and chosen events can quietly notify you overnight.
Smoke and leak awarenessEarlier awareness of smoke or water where sensors are fitted.
Where added, smoke and leak sensors can raise a local alert and notify you.
Available as add-ons and subject to the site survey. These complement, and do not replace, approved and regulated life-safety systems.
Away and vacation awarenessStay aware of your home while you are away from it.
Chosen events reach you while you travel, so you know the home is as you left it.
Designed for a real household
Local awareness built around a clear plan.
Every Safe Living project runs on the Hanan Foundation, the local hub and management server at the center of every new Hanan installation. It brings alerts, awareness, and controls into one documented system and is not purchased again when that system expands.
Awareness that holds up locally
Local alerts are designed to sound inside the home during an internet outage. Where designed to, the system can also make you aware of conditions that affect it, such as a device going offline.
Awareness works best with a plan
Safe Living supports a response plan your household agrees on: who is notified, what happens next, and which professional service to contact. The technology raises awareness; your plan turns it into action.

Limitations and responsible use
What Safe Living is and isn't.
- Hanan improves awareness and access to assistance.
- Hanan is not an emergency response provider, and does not contact authorities on your behalf.
- Automations and connected devices may depend on electricity, local network infrastructure, battery condition, sensor placement, and other project-specific factors.
- Critical life-safety requirements must use the applicable approved and regulated systems.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Will the system still work without internet?
Essential experiences are designed to operate locally wherever that is technically practical, so much of your space keeps working during an internet outage. Some functions, including remote access, selected integrations, and updates, do depend on the internet. Local-first does not mean no cloud service is ever used.
Can Hanan work with an existing home?
Often, yes. Many existing homes can be integrated, and Hanan can also plan ahead for a renovation or new build. What is possible depends on your space and existing equipment, which is confirmed during the site survey; not every existing switch, appliance, or unit is automatically compatible.
Can the system expand later?
Yes. Hanan designs systems to be expandable, so you can begin with a focused solution and add experiences, rooms, or capabilities over time without starting over.
Does Hanan replace electricians, security companies, or emergency services?
No. Hanan designs and integrates the intelligent-space technology in your space. Licensed electrical work, professional security services, and emergency response remain the responsibility of the appropriate qualified providers. Safe Living improves awareness and access to help; it does not replace regulated life-safety or emergency systems.
