Smart Living
Everyday life, made simpler.
Smart Living is a starting solution for simpler routines, lighting, comfort, and control. It runs on the Hanan Foundation, the local hub and management server included in every new Hanan installation.

Is Smart Living for you?
For homes that should just work quietly.
Smart Living suits families and households who want everyday routines, lighting, comfort, and control to feel effortless, and who value a system that can grow over time rather than a drawer of disconnected devices.
Common frustrations
- Lights, switches, and apps that never quite work together
- Routines you repeat by hand every morning and night
- No easy way to tell what's on, off, or left running
- Comfort and energy that need constant fiddling
A day with Smart Living
One ordinary day, working together.
01 / 05
Morning
Moment 01
Morning
A gentle good-morning routine eases the lights up and gets the day going. No switches, no phone.
Moment 02
Leaving
One tap as you head out settles the house: lights off, comfort eased back, doors confirmed closed.
Moment 03
Returning
The space is ready as you arrive, with lighting and comfort back where you like them.
Moment 04
Evening
Rooms warm and dim into the evening, following the way your household actually uses them.
Moment 05
Night
A good-night routine settles the home, and soft light guides any late-night movement.
Examples show how experiences can work together. What your space actually does is designed around your needs and confirmed during the site survey.
Core experiences
What Smart Living can do.
An experience is a useful thing your space does, not an individual device. These examples show possible directions for a Smart Living design.

Everyday routinesYour home follows your day, so you manage less of it.
A single good-morning routine gently raises the lights and starts the day; an away routine settles the house as you leave.
Routines depend on the devices included in your design and the conditions of your space.
Intelligent lightingThe right light for the moment, without hunting for switches.
Evenings warm and dim on their own; hallways light softly at night and settle again once everyone is back in bed.
Door and room awarenessYour home responds to where life is actually happening.
Rooms respond as you enter and leave, and you can see at a glance whether doors are open or closed.
Appliance controlManage the things that matter from wherever you are.
Selected appliances can be switched on or off on a schedule or from your phone, with the rest left exactly as they are.
Not every existing appliance is automatically compatible; suitability is confirmed during the site survey.
Comfort and climateA comfortable home that does not waste energy keeping itself that way.
Comfort settings ease back when rooms are empty and return before you need them.
Climate experiences depend on the equipment in your space and what can be integrated reliably.
Away and vacation behaviorsA home that looks lived-in and stays calm while you are away.
While you travel, lighting varies naturally and the house holds a quiet, settled state until you return.
Designing the right system
Designed around your space and built on a dependable foundation.
Smart Living begins with what can be integrated reliably, then brings the selected experiences together through one local system.
Working with what you already have
Many existing homes can be integrated, and Hanan can also plan ahead for a renovation or new build. Not every existing switch, appliance, or unit is automatically compatible, so the site survey confirms what is practical.
The Hanan Foundation
The Hanan Foundation is the local hub and management server at the center of every new Hanan installation. It connects, runs, and coordinates your Smart Living experiences. Once installed, customers do not purchase it again when expanding the same Hanan system.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Will the system still work without internet?
Essential experiences are designed to operate locally wherever that is technically practical, so much of your space keeps working during an internet outage. Some functions, including remote access, selected integrations, and updates, do depend on the internet. Local-first does not mean no cloud service is ever used.
Can Hanan work with an existing home?
Often, yes. Many existing homes can be integrated, and Hanan can also plan ahead for a renovation or new build. What is possible depends on your space and existing equipment, which is confirmed during the site survey; not every existing switch, appliance, or unit is automatically compatible.
Can the system expand later?
Yes. Hanan designs systems to be expandable, so you can begin with a focused solution and add experiences, rooms, or capabilities over time without starting over.
